Dodgers VS. D-Backs Game 1

The Dodgers are heading to Arizona to play the currently last place, 2-4, D-backs. Unfortunately, even with 4 games, Kike won’t get to homer off Arizona Bumgarner just yet.

They only have 3 batters above the .700 OPS mark right now, good for the 29th ranked offense out of 30. Currently the Dodgers rank 12th. Pitching wise the D-backs rank 23rd with a 5.22 ERA and the Dodgers 2nd with a 2.02 ERA.

Matchup and Players to Watch

Game 1 Matchup – Stripling 1-0, 1.29 ERA / Ray 0-1, 7.36 ERA

Striplings first outing was picture perfect giving up 1 run in 7 innings with no walks and 7 strikeouts. Not only that, but he added a new pitch to his already impressive arsenal. Check it out.

Ray showed his usual swing and miss stuff with a lack of control that lead to a 3 2/3 innings with 3 runs.

The D-backs to watch are David Peralta and Nick Ahmed who both hit Stripling very well last year. Eduardo Escobar and Carson Kelly have also seen Stripling relatively well.

Dodgers to watch are Turner and Pollock who have both started hot and OPS’d over 1.400 against Ray last year. Otherwise keep an eye on Seager all series long, Mookie seems to have settled in, and Will Smith hits the ball hard if he makes contact off Ray.

Game Prediction: Dodgers Win 5-2 and Graterol gets his first save as a Dodger.

DraftKing Player Picks

Stripling @ $8400

Turner @ $5200

Seager @ $4300

Peralta @ $4300

Pollock @ $3300
